The Media Platform on Environment and Climate Change (MPEC) is an initiative of a group of professionals from journalism and other fields, who have come together for the cause of addressing the communication gap identified in Ghana’s efforts at addressing science, environment and natural resource governance issues.
This gap is evident in information dissemination.
Licensed in August 2015, MPEC has the ultimate goal of enhancing general public awareness about science, environment and natural resources governance, and the impact of these sectors on populations, including migrants.
A free media society that proactively reports on science, environment and natural resources issues.
To enhance information dissemination for informed decision making, improved livelihoods and sustainable development through targeted publicity packages supported by analysis and review of scientific research findings.
